  • Join hundreds of brave Polar Plungers in Lake Erie for the coolest event of the winter! The Northwest Polar Plunge, Presented by REBICH Investments, has something for everybody – food, music, dancing, games, fun and entertainment. In addition, you can participate in the Frozen Footrace (5 or 10 K race or 1 mile walk). Participants can do both at a discounted rate. Most importantly, every dollar raised helps support vital programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. Start fundraising today to join the fun. TIME TBD:  Frozen Footrace registration in the rotary pavilion.
9:30 – 11:30 am: Polar Plunge registration in the rotary pavilion. All participants must register and receive a wrist band.
TIME TBD: Frozen Footrace begins.
9:30 – 11:30 am:  Pre event fun, food, entertainment, games, and festivities.
11:30 am: Opening Ceremonies.
12:00 pm: Plunge begins!

Northwest Cool Schools

  • Cool Schools Polar Plunges feature teams of K-12 students who plunge and raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. Can't make it on the 21st? You can participate in the Polar Plunge season by taking the traditional Polar Plunge, Spring Plunge, hosting a Rain Rally or doing the Polar Pop!

Special Olympics Pennsylvania will accept gifts from donors and solicit gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and via special events to support operations in its 9 geographic regions around the state. Such funds are unrestricted but will be used to meet regional operating needs as defined by the Board-approved budget in each region. Should funds raised exceed regional operating needs in the current year, those excess funds may be used at the sole discretion of Special Olympics PA for any purposes that will help the organization further and fulfill its mission.
